“And thus I aspire to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named so that I would not build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written,
'Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.'”
Why Are We Pursuing Overseas Missions?
1) WE WANT GOD'S NAME TO BE GLORIFIED IN LANGUAGES THAT HAVE NEVER SPOKEN HIS NAME
We are set on missions because the glory of God is not yet known among so many people. God created man to fill the earth with HIS Glory and man has failed that purpose so many times throughout history. “Missions is spreading the worship and enjoyment of God to those who are not currently worshippers, because God’s glory is increased by the increase of His church in the world.”(a) We have chosen missions as our life’s work because we cherish the worship of our God. One day Missions will end but the Worship of our Lord will remain forever.
2) PEOPLE ARE DYING WITHOUT A CHANCE TO HEAR THE GOSPEL
We believe that there is no better way we could use this short time on earth, then to invest our lives in sharing God’s incredible story with people who are dying without the opportunity to know our amazing Creator, and who are finding themselves in an eternity of death, separated from the Giver of Life.
3) WE WANT TO INVEST OUR LIVES IN THE THINGS WHICH HOLD ETERNAL SIGNIFICANCE
The Lord has been teaching us to abide as strangers in the world remembering that our forever home is in eternity with Christ. The idea of settling down and living life is very appealing to us sometimes, but we've had to remind each other that God has told His Church to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them…and teaching them…”(b) how to be a follower of Christ. One day we will live for eternity with the knowledge of how we spent our lives. We want to look back on our lives and see that God became greater and we became less because of the choices we made and the people we got to see added to His Church.

A Message to American Church
Why Are We Focused on Unreached People Groups?
People in an unreached, unengaged people group have zero chance of hearing the gospel because no believers have intentionally learned their language and culture to be able to share the gospel with them in a way that they will understand. Unless someone intentionally crosses cultural and linguistic barriers to bring the gospel to them they will never hear.
“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”
- Jim Elliot
“And people who do not know the Lord ask why in the world we waste our lives as missionaries. They forget that they too are expending their lives… and when the bubble has burst they will have nothing of eternal significance to show for the years they have wasted.”
- Nate Saint
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom; preach the Word.
- 2 TIMOTHY 4:1
"His authority on earth allows us to dare to go to all the nations. His authority in heaven gives us our only hope of success. And His presence with us leaves us with no other choice."
